How to feel grateful every day?

1. Gratitude is a positive emotion, a feeling of appreciation and thankfulness towards something or someone. When we think of grateful things our brain releases happy chemicals like endorphins and serotonin. So, how to feel grateful?

So, you should remember the grateful moments of your life to make yourself happy. Happiness comes from being grteful and appreciative for what you already have.

2. Take baby steps. You do not have to write down as many things as possible. Just write down 3 at a time. I recommend giving an explanation of why you are grateful.

3. Be specific. First, it may be the case that you think of very superficial things without substance. Think about deeply what you are grateful for that day.

Think of categories: such as personal development, love life, social life, family, health, home, finance, passion, and career.


4. Write it down every day. If you write down your thoughts, they will stay vivid in your memory. And you can look at it every day, what you were grateful for that day.

5. Don’t stop. If you write down a minimum of 3 things that you are grateful for, it will become a habit.

 

6. Think back. If you cannot think of anything to write down, create a dramatic scene in your head of what could have happened to you but has not occurred.

For instance, I have no terminal illness, My parents are together, I have a healthy sibling, I have a family, and I have a home.
